Seven Turns of the Key:
The title ‘Sette Giri della Chiave’ would have been just as appropriate
in Italian as its English translation, Seven Turns of the Key. The term
is derived from the finality of imprisonment, not necessarily in a
physical structure but in one’s mind, heart and soul.
A long planned and much needed vacation to the Amalfi Coast in Italy
results in an adventurous hunt for the truth. A chance meeting with a
stranger in a remote parking lot, somewhere outside of Sorrento, is
the beginning of a search with surprising consequences.
Murder, mystery, intrigue, deceit and adultery become an integral part
of the search. After many subsequent trips to Sicily it is discovered
that the answer are to be found no further then the shores of the
United States.
Seven Turns of the Key is more than just a fact based novel. It is a
lesson in Sicilian and Italian tradition, history, geography and the Italian
language.
