By this time, Frank was aware of Sammy. He understood black domestic problems and ignored them, feeling there was nothing he could do.
Sammy, on his part, resented Frank, just like Marlon had done. Once I caught him underneath Frank's truck, which was parked in my driveway.He emerged, holding a large knife, which he tried to hide behind his back when he saw me. He didn't speak, but walked quickly to the back yard and disappeared. He had just cut Frank's gas line, and gasoline was streaming down the driveway into the gutter.
