Because of that, she denies any need for a loving relationship or a loving God until she meets Anthony -- a minister and gospel recording artist. Although she falls hard and fast, she continues to deny her feelings -- frustrating both his efforts to woo her and God's divine plan for her life. Never fear, however, in the end true love does win. As the storm rages across the Mississippi Delta she finally finds the release she's sought all her life! Theirs is a love that's meant to be!

"... You’re my destiny. I’ve never felt this way about anyone before, and I know I never will again.”
His words cascaded over her, around and finally through her, invading her heart and taking up residence there, filling her with hope. “Pamela . . . ,” he implored her lovingly, and she was powerless to resist. The events following his softly voiced entreaty were inevitable.
Somehow, she neither knew nor cared at that point, but somehow their glasses were on the table beside them, and she was in his arms. That’s where she longed to be, and nothing else mattered. This was the only reality of consequences, she admitted, and her whimper of surrender when his lips found hers was all the encouragement he needed.
This embrace bore little resemblance to the previous ones they’d shared. Before he had been gentle and undemanding, but this was a masterful domination of her senses and her will, making a mockery of her paltry attempts at resistance up to this point in their relationship. She yielded eagerly--greedily taking all he offered and freely giving whatever he demanded of her. It was as though a dam had burst within her, and all the love she’d stored up for all those years rushed forth.
Any efforts to stem the encroaching waves of desire inundating her being would have been useless, so she didn’t try. Rather she gave herself over to the pleasure of the moment. Steadfastly refusing to consider the possible consequences of her actions, she gave in to the passion his embrace aroused as a wonderful lassitude invaded her body. But all too soon it was over, and his sudden withdrawal left her bereft and disoriented.
“That shouldn’t have happened,” he stated raggedly, resting his forehead against hers.
“I fancy next you’ll tell me how sorry you are it did,” she challenged, wounded by his statement and stepping away from him.
“To do so would be a gross misrepresentation of truth,” he parried thickly, moving to take up his stance just behind her, “. . . and I place great value on truth.” His reply removed the tension from her rigidly held body, and she relaxed into his embrace.
I wrote this novel several years ago, I self published and never had it to sell. I have decided to rewrite it and hope to get it published within a few months for people to be able to buy. I had a few copies and gave them to a few family members and
