She decided on a compromise. She removed the trousers, hung them up carefully in the wardrobe and sat cross-legged on the bed. She checked herself out in the mirror. Yes that would have the right impact. James tapped gently on the door at one minute past three. Clearly the boy was keen. She called softly for him to come in.
