BOOK SYNOPSIS
Two scientists from Antarctic New Zealand detect extreme thinning of the ozone, O3. The world leaders find out they are being held to ransom by a billionaire megalomaniac, Mr. Spratton, and his corporation, who purposefully destroyed the ozone layer, creating dangerously high concentrations of deadly ultraviolet rays to bombard terra firma. The entire globe’s ozone depletion causes the weather to react ferociously. Mr. Spratton stole top secret gamma radiation deflectors from the United States army and adapted them into ultraviolet deflectors (UVD’s), to protect those countries willing to pay his rental contracts.
He then begins his quest to extort countries to make him the most powerful man on earth. The kiwi scientist who initially found the problem, Dr. Jason Rhodes, is invited to NASA to help design a plan to stop the fatal and treacherous weather that has paralysed the civilised world, making her crumble to a state of simple survival for those scrambling to stay alive; while the high pressure stakes between the United Nations and TT Corporation try to outwit each other. Can the world ever return to the norm, or will the weather totally dominate man’s existence now? There’s a grand plan devised to save the world, but can it work?

THE WEATHER’S WRATH-O3
CHAPTER I
AETIOLOGY-MISSION HEAT WAVE
A month earlier, the paradigm shift began. The submarine cruised into Antarctic waters, under stealth mode, unnoticed by any international authorities. They had navigated all the way from Chile, under anti-radar detection. They surfaced at their launch site near the innermost estuaries navigable in the frozen continent. The Captain peered through the periscope and surveyed the sea for any other vessels. The radar officer signaled the all clear on the radar system to the Captain, standing beside the periscope. The Master Chief yelled his orders to the weapons room to load the missiles.
“Load chambers one, two and four, standby,” the Master Chief ordered.
“Yes, Sir,” the eastern European voice on the radio replied, with a deep guttural pitch.
The Master Chief turned to his Captain. “Sir, the three missiles are loaded. Do you want them primed for ignition, Sir?”
The Captain pushed the periscope up and away from himself, clipping the handles sharply downward to lock them by the side of the periscope tube.
“No, wait for my orders, have chamber three also loaded, just in case,” the Captain coldly said. Then he reached for his satellite phone and dialed a pre-programmed number into the phone. A voice answered.
The Captain spoke briefly. “We are all set.”
The voice at the other end responded with an affirmative to forge ahead with the mission.
“Yes, understood, over and out,” the Captain said, with a calculating monotone.
The Master Chief stood beside him, waiting for his command. Captain William Skelly sighed, as he thought of the order he was about to give.
