Well, we all want it. We all have been told by numerous gurus’ how to obtain it. Many of us have spent untold dollars on books, programs, seminars and the like to learn how happiness can be ours.
I would guess that the majority of us sit on a regular basis in front of the TV and watch the talk shows and such on the numerous ways their hosts recommend that we obtain this very elusive happiness. And yet, well, do we ever really get the complete and total happiness, satisfaction and pure joy that we all seem to be striving for?
Is it even a realistic goal to think that we can be completely happy, day in and day out?
You and I both know that with all of the negative influences and negative people around us each and every day that happiness is a sporadic event at best. I mean come on; you’ve got your boss, your spouse, your kids, your finances, and the like to deal with. Let’s get real. How in the world can you expect to be happy on a consistent basis?
You would be a very lucky person indeed if you could have happiness once a week wouldn’t you? Let’s admit it. If you want to have pure unadulterated happiness and joy, well you need for several things to occur.
Really, think about it.
Well, certainly you need to make more money. Then of course there is the new car that would make things much better. And, oh yes, the house, you need a bigger and better house to go with it. You need smarter, better behaved children, better and more glamour’s vacations, more degrees to hang on your wall. So, as you can see the lists go on and on and on, and on. So really, if we can’t have some, if not all, of these things, well, how can we ever be truly happy?
