This is a New York City love story about Greg Scott, musician and Loni Arillos, jazz and blues singer.
Greg plays sax and piano and meets singer Loni, a Brooklyn girl in the Chicken N' Blues Club on Long Island circa 1965. Greg is also in the US Army when they meet and assigned to the Army Pictorial Center, Long Island. They become big hits at the club when A&R Man Mitchell J Klein discovers them and both are signed to Blue Nights Records. Loni moves in with Greg and the story is about their interaction with humor throughout the novel. Greg is from a small town Elway, Georgia, which is one of two most corrupt towns in the state. Greg tells Loni about almost unbelievable incidents of Elway which she refers to as her bedtime stories, "Evils Of Elway."
