This self published book takes a different approach about alien and human interaction in the world and interprets the data differently from the norm.

Magi is the story of a man who believes that he understands the world he lives in and rejects ideas about “Alien Conspiracies”, and sets out to prove his own assumption that cattle mutilations in the Colorado Rockies are the actions of a secret government program that is testing biological agents for the development of weapons. His life converges with other people who are firmly entrenched in the world of alien/human interaction and his world view is changed forever as he comes face to face with this new reality that he stumbles upon. The complexity of the problem he discovers is that layers of covert groups are designed to watchdog each other and take necessary actions in order to maintain stability in a world that must be kept secret at all costs. Once he loses the simplicity of what he thought was once the world, he becomes caught between choices
Yet there are deeper insidious problems plaguing the world and these people in these various groups. It isn’t clear about who controls what, what the aliens want or even who they are. Why have they not annihilated us and why do they not help us? These ideas and more keep the players firmly locked in a Leontius’ Eyes syndrome, unable to tear their selves away and choose how to accept what is so blatantly obvious to the senses and the mind.
Out of a central incident arises a clarity of a different kind; that all have been drawn together at this moment to work in concert to support the stasis of this secret existence. The question remains as to whether it has all been a mass manipulation at the whim of a single entity, or if this has been necessary for the continued existence of mankind in general.
Excerpt
After the intros, the Colonel continued, “Prior to this morning, everything was sort of flowing in its natural routine state, and I had hoped to include you a little at a time, so that your comfort level would have had a chance to take in all that you need to know over a period of time. But this morning’s events necessitate that I speed that process up.”
“Sir, I understand that one of our helos out on a training mission seems to have crashed after possibly being shot by a hunter who got a lucky hit?”, mused Jake.
“It’s a little more complicated than that. A satellite survey of the area reveals nothing out of the ordinary by way of traffic patterns. In other words it doesn’t seem that anyone was trying to get away very quickly.” said the Colonel.
“Well then Sir, I would guess that it was a local who knows his way around that area. It sounds like something that the local authorities can handle. Don’t you think that some good old boy would eventually brag about a thing like that?”, asked Jake.
“It appears that we have a person missing and possibly some sensitive equipment, without much of a trace of who or what caused it. It suggests a more coordinated effort, and that is what we are concerned of. The bird and some extraneous parts have already reached the flight line and will be right down there below the buffers in just a few minutes.” He was pointing towards a dark segmented wall. “I’ll give you a good look at what we are dealing with then. Go get yourself some coffee and wait for things to happen. Talk to these boys over here.”
“Upstairs”, TSgt Adams was standing by the Humvee waiting for the semi to come into the tunnel. As the truck came in with the chopper on the flatbed, it didn’t slow down as it approached the end of the tunnel. Though it wasn’t going all that fast, it looked like it would make a definite mess in only moments. But then following the curved yellow line, it headed straight for the cavern wall, penetrating the hologram which flickered momentarily, revealing the continuation of the tunnel down into the depths of the underground complex. “I’ll never get over that!”, Adams chuckled to himself. The one ton zoomed in close behind, and the wall looked as if nothing had happened. Adams walked over to the console, identified himself again, and flipped the switch that closed the concrete doors behind the hologram. He got into the Humvee and left for the flight tower.
