The worst thing about Iceland, in 1984, alcoholic drinks were banned, so Gerald stuffed his rucksac full of them. He was our best mate in the wilderness. Meet another Frank, who was a legend for being sick in the the wrong places. Get above the clouds in Madeira, where water runs up hills, and we are attacked by an army of child beggers, trying to sell us wild flowers wrapped in Cellotape. The hills arfe alive with the sound of swearing and cursing. I only hilke with interesting people.
