Inside us all lies a vampire that’s just waiting to be let out. The body is simply a temple that reflects our differences and shades our spirit from the light. Inside we are much more alike than we know. The heart thirsts for blood the same way it thirsts for love. The light and silver are the weaknesses we face when we seek out to cure our thirst.

 Like a vampire, we risk treachery to our hearts when we allow ourselves to lose blood to the ones we love. We risk everything to get a taste of something new. Coming out of the dark opens us up to confusion, tears, broken hearts, and sometimes even death.

 In a crowded world we strive for our own unique identity. Life has purpose for us all but for some it’s like walking around in the dark. Being able to find a dream and accomplish it casts a heavy burden on our lives.

 In a world where everyone wishes to live in the light, for some it comes with a price. Broken hearts, emptiness, and failure are the scars that blend us in with every blood thirsty soul looking for something more powerful than themselves. Why do we wander from the comfort of our dark temple to be in the presence of danger? Why make ourselves vulnerable? Because the blood of love feels like fire beneath our skin. Living in the dark is comforting but for some, we thrive on that feeling and will risk everything; even it means torture to our soul.
