When Patti’s best friend is planning her wedding, of course she is asked to be the maid of honor. But since they are partners in an event planning company, and Patti is in the process of opening a small café and catering service, they decide that she will do both functions for the wedding. As the day gets closer, more people are invited, and Patti begins to worry about how she will be able to cook for that many guests, as well as calm down her very pregnant and irritable best friend for her important day. It is the groom who suggests that she hire an assistant cook.
None of the women who apply for the job are suitable, but Patti is surprised when a tall, muscular, tattooed biker rides up on a Harley and applies for the job. He tells her he is a Roma, which is the term his people prefer to “gypsy”. He offers to shave his beard, and tells her he has cooked all over the southwestern U.S., as well as everywhere he has traveled in Mexico. Since the groom and his family are Hispanic, so are the foods that Patti will need to prepare. She is still not sure, but when he offers to “audition” for her, she helps him cook some of his specialties, and they both enjoy the time spent together in her kitchen. They discover they are compatible in the kitchen, and they enjoy the same foods.
Patti, who has been divorced for years, wonders what else they might enjoy doing together. But she has two children and a meddling ex-husband…not exactly the best ingredients for a successful relationship. Will she be able to convince this wandering man, to stay for a while?

Tegan had just left, after yelling at Patti for letting her ex-husband move in for long enough for him to save up enough money to get himself a new apartment.
“I’m really sorry you had to find out this way,” she began, but J.T. shook his head as he turned to look at her.
“Why? There’s no reason for you to tell me about your private life, is there?” He looked seriously at her.
Patti nodded, “Yes there is. I do remember enough from my birthday to know that there’s unfinished business between us. I feel ridiculous talking about it like this, but you already know how I feel about you, right?”
J. T. regarded her with his light blue eyes intent on her face.
“Do I? I thought I did; but now, with your ex in your house again, I guess anything I might have been planning, is going to have to be postponed, indefinitely.”
“Patti looked miserably at him.
“You’re not going to leave town on me, are you? I mean, before we get a chance to find out what we’d be like together?”
J.T. carefully put his paint brush down, and walked over to stand in front of Patti. He was so tall when she was wearing flats, that she didn’t even come up to his shoulders. She looked up expectantly at him, and he put one finger under her chin and lifted her face up, to look at him. Slowly he lowered his face and his lips lightly brushed hers. One kiss, another kiss, another…then with a groan, Patti melted against him, and wound her arms up and around him, pressing herself against his hardness, and feeling the danger and excitement of trying to control a man so much bigger than herself.
J.T. groaned now too, and used one large hand to fondle her butt, pressing himself into her, so that she could feel the length of the hardness that she had been imagining for months. He moved his other hand up and down her curves, as he made her know just how much he wanted her, made her feel his desire. He moved his head slightly, and his lips trailed along her face to her ear, then to her neck, then he licked his way up the front of her neck to her chin, then kissed her once more. Reluctantly he moved away from her, and smiled at the expectant look on her face.
“Nope,” he said simply, then he turned to go back to his paintbrush.

Patti Johnson and her business partner, Tegan O’Neill, set out to hire an assistant cook for their Mexican restaurant, “Patti’s Place”; where they also host children’s birthday parties… hosted by their company: “Parties By Pat-Teg”. One of the applicants is Harley-riding, Jules Marks Tremenczyk, a Romani gyspy. Hiring this hunk is only the beginning of Patti’s problems. Well, not the beginning, beginning. That came with throwing her abusive husband out the door.
JT comes with his own back-story and unsavory history, which catches up with him, putting Patti and her two children in peril. Two dangerous thugs have Patti all tied up when JT crashes to the rescue. All hell breaks loose because JT has laid claim on Patti as his woman, and by gypsy law, nobody better hurt the women. Plus, it’s a bad notion to ever upset a Romani Gypsy, as these cons discover.
JT is the kind of man you dream about having for your very own. He is a loyal family man, who falls in love with Patti and her two children. When he moves in, all their lives change for the better. This is another spicy love story, with romping wild sex scenes. I’m sure if you like spicy-hot, you are going to love these getting-it-on love scenes. I did.
