“How the hell, did ya do that,” I yelled.
Bill’s hands were dripping with blood. At first I thought he had cut them on something. Suddenly the window flew open drawing our gaze for only a second. When I looked down again, the blood was gone and on the floor, only a few, faint, faded red stains from where she had cut her wrists.
Bill had looked at his hands, for only a second, when we heard a soft whisper, “The amulet, find it… find it.”
Scurrying faster than I had ever seen him move, he was up, and heading out the door. I stood there, blinked a
few times, thinking collectively about the the story of the Three Sisters in Black, and I too was out the door, and hot on Bill’s heels.
