In the Kingdom of Fyonhaireshizer
Bright red and orange shifted and morphed before the phantom’s eyes like the inside of a kaleidoscope. This was by far Flork’s most difficult journey to date, traveling from one realm to another through earthly portals. It was much easier snatching humans through Dragon Hero.
He clung tightly to the girl’s woolen cape—no easy feat for a phantom with little shape or form. He exerted all his powers to hang fast and not let go of the prize. His blackened soul delighted in having abducted another citizen from yet another of the kingdoms that once made up the great Allian Empire. And this one was special, for he was certain she was a royal and maybe a first born.
Flork burst through the surface of the garden pond, exiting the portal. He was impatient to report his great success to Alexa. Twice now, he had penetrated closer to the heart of a kingdom than they had ever been able to do so before. She surely would give him some dimension. After all, she had promised that if he did as she bid, at the end of it all—when she was triumphant, she would restore him, and he would enjoy the pleasures of being human once again.
Flork left the pretty girl from Antorell slumped against the lichen covered wall and drifted upon a breeze into the castle tower. He would ride a stale draft down to the dungeon where his mistress, the Sorceress Alexa, waited.

Mozan dreams of a life as a wizard in a land where magic is taboo. When he and his tutor investigate missing citizens employing a game called Dragon Hero, they too are abducted. Mozan wakes from a sleeping charm in the kingdom of Fyonhaireshizer where he meets the other four abducted children. The Sorceress of Fyonhaireshizer welcomes them and explains that their kingdoms, forced to be invisible to one another for nearly a thousand years, are in danger. She claims to have brought them to Fyonhaireshizer to help them harness lost magical powers needed to protect their kingdoms. Of course her true purpose is to drain the children of their powers and with the help of ogres, zombies and a parasitic green mist to reveal all eleven kingdoms, conquer them and reign as queen.
The children possess latent powers that control dragons, fire, trees and the elements. As most of them harness their powers, Mozan turns out to be a late bloomer. His frustration leads him to discover the Sorceress’s true purpose. He and the other children escape. On their quest to return home and save their kingdoms, they battle dark spirits, gargoyles, and one-eyed ogres. Here, Mozan meets Anzon, The Lion King, and he learns that he is the answer to an ancient prophecy and the next Lion Warrior.
Dragon Conjurers, Brownies, Fire Swampers, Horse Archers and Tree Shamans help form the new United Allian Forces. Together they battle the evil forces of Alexa in a grand showdown of good versus evil.
I would recommend “Mozan and the Return of Magic” by Stephan Davied to people who like action, adventure, and science fiction. This was an interesting, fast-paced book full of intrigue. This was Stephan Davied’s first novel, and I can’t wait to read the rest of the series.
