A story of and for the ages
Real men don't read romance. Now having said that I can say I am a man and, on occasion, have read a romantic story or two. Such is the case with Again.
The story surrounds two women separated by centuries yet connected by the unending force of love. (yes, I'm a man who just used the 'L' word) I'm not going to spoil any parts of the story
by doing a running narrative here. You need to read the book to understand that the connection I'm speaking of is more than just one of circumstance.
The author sets the stage for this tale of centuries in the first page which grabbed my interest and did not let go until the story was finished with me. For me, that's what makes a great tale. I didn't finish with it, it finished with me and at the appropriate place, the last page.
Ms. Murdock weaves two tales together using the chapters to define the time periods. Brilliant. I had no problems following the time line and her ability to create the right atmosphere (characters, clothing and speech) in both timelines was flawless. The author uses water (the ocean) as another means to connect the two stories and keep them flowing together until the end. The love scenes were vivid yet tasteful bringing out the emotions of the moment rather than a graphic rendering of the act itself.
Again is a tale of love, jealousy, loyalty and betrayal with some mystery tossed in. (you'll understand the last once you've read the story). All the fixings needed to keep you turning the pages.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and highly recommend it for both sexes.

Again is an amazing book that brings empowerment to all women! I read this when I was going through some really tough times and it brought me so much strength when I needed it the most. I could not put the book down. It gave me hope that my true love was really out there somewhere in this great big world! I read it TWICE! A must read for all women! You will want to read it AGAIN...and AGAIN!
