As an inspector is found dead in the staff room, the fragile lives of the teachers are held to scrutiny and ridicule. Their hopes and aspirations decompose beneath a tirade of no-holds-barred mockery, in which love, ambition, jealousy, passion, guilt and innocence collide with disastrous consequences.

Beths Book Review of Mystery, Deceit and a School Inspector
I was a bit hesitant about this at first because of the rather small, densely packed type, however it was quite intriguing. Because it is a British book, it may present some readability issues for those infrequent BBCA viewers, but overall it was quite nice.
This one gets three stars. While I didn't particularly like any of the characters as people, they were very well written. The story itself was a bit slow at times, but was really rather good. It is perhaps a bit better for those who are already inclined towards British fiction.
