By all rights, Joshua is a bad guy. His job is killing who ever he’s paid to kill. Not taking under account why or knowing anything about the private lives of these people. They’re a mark, a target, just a job, but there is more to Joshua than meets the eye. Despite his cold hearted career, he does have some compassion for certain people. One of these few is Detective Tyler Sergeant, a woman he’d known for many years and had established a close friendship with, and Tyler was also very fond of Joshua, maybe more so than she wanted to admit, but Joshua’s heart belonged to someone else. He’d met Carmen while staking out his next hit at a restaurant, and he was quite taken with her, but Carmen was not an easy take. She was witty, but cautious, and her self assuredness told Joshua that she didn’t need his attention. With the passing of time they grew closer, and each felt they’d met that one person they’d been waiting for, but Carmen too, held a dark secret, and it wouldn’t be until Carmen was faced with being a target herself, before they’d learn of the other’s secret life.
This was a great read! This author has a way of making you like the bad guy! I’m not normally attracted to the shoot em’ up kind of stories, but this one kept my interest till the end.

Suicide Run, written eloquently by author Racliff Lance, is a story about a hitman named Joshua and from the very first chapter I was immediately drawn in. I read a lot of books for review, and I can honestly say this opening scene was one of the more intriguing I have read. Straight to the point. Straight to the drama. I know exactly what the book will be about and whose point of view the story will be told in. Polished. Excellent.
I just got done speaking with OceanView Publishing at the Barnes n Noble the night prior to reading this novel, and they are 90% thriller/mystery publishing, looking for more novels. I recommend this book be picked up quick!
I also read a lot of work that is independently published, and contrary to what I'm told, most of it is rather well done. With mainstream I get the standard, not unedited work, but usually nothing special either -formula books. But with independent authors, I do find the coal (unedited, uncared for works), but yet I often find diamonds. With indie, always something unique.
This book is one of the diamonds. Couldn't put it down. I'm so glad I have a smartphone so I could transfer the .pdf to it and read wherever I go.
