"With great flourish, the conductor raised his baton and as the first strains of the Viennese Waltz permeated every nook and cranny of the extraordinary structure, the debutantes began to dance. Their steps were in unison and everything they did was so incredibly perfect that it was as though their very breathing was synchronised. Every step was carefully choreographed and rehearsed and they moved in absolute harmony with one another. Cally could almost feel the building itself holding its breath in acknowledgement of the spectacle unfolding within it. The young men led the girls in the beautiful waltz, holding them lightly while the girls themselves appeared to float just above the surface of the floor such was the grace and speed with which they moved. The white dresses shimmered in the light, swishing and rustling as they swept across the polished floor. Flashes of brilliant light shot across the walls as the Swarovski tiaras reminded the guests of their brilliance and purity."
