Financial Backing and Necessary Resources
When most denominations and church planting organi- zations decide to plant a new church, they decide on the city or location for the plant and begin extensive fund-raising activities. The preliminary goal is typically $150,000 to ␣␣␣␣␣␣␣␣␣␣␣␣␣␣␣␣␣␣␣␣␣␣␣␣␣␣␣␣␣␣␣␣␣␣␣␣␣␣␣␣␣␣␣␣␣␣␣␣␣␣␣␣␣␣␣␣␣␣- nitude is expected to cover the salary and housing expenses of the primary church planter, all necessary training, exten- sive advertising, and the purchase of basic equipment, and possibly even a building.
Home Missionary church plants are established with far less capital up-front. We have sponsored church plants with as little as $3,000 to $4,000, and some we have only invested $10,000 to $30,000 in all, total package.
