The book takes the reader through the complete lifecycle of an expatriate working and living in Nairobi, from growing to love Africe to realising that if I did not leave on an aeroplane, I would leave in a wooden box.
The book recalls the abject poverty, sickness and violence experienced when living in Nairobi, where every day there are 10 car jackings and at least 2 peopel are shot to death by robbers every day.
At the same time the book explains why it is impossible not to fall in love with the people of Kenya, the country and its wildlife.
