32 Stories About Teaching, from Inspiring to Hilarious for Anyone Who Has Ever Been to School
"In 'Pass/Fail,' Red Sky Books proudly presents the winners of the 2001 Red Sky Writing Competition: Twenty-eight writers who are or have been teachers and who testify brilliantly to the failures and the triumphs, the despair and the heartwarming rewards that come with one of the world's most challenging professions, teaching." Included is Carolyn Howard-Johnson's "Remembering Winter" from her collection of stories "Harkening."
Excerpt
"Winters in Utah can be bitter. The February wind moved the raindrops across my windshield like moire but nothing else stirred. There was not a leaf or a blade of grass for the polar blast to bend to its will."

This book sounds wonderful. I can't wait to get my copy so that I can read it. I love the cover. I know that Carolyn Howard-Johnson's story 'Remembering Winter' is up to her usual brilliant style of writing.
