TEARS
Tears in the hallway
Tears in the bedroom
Tears in the I kitchen
Tears in the common room
Tears in my throat
Great heaving sobs of pain and sorrow.
There is no tomorrow
Who lets this be?
This place of grief and sorrow,
what does it matter, cry
cry like there's no tomorrow.
Tears come from the Beloved.
She knows your sorrow
crying lets hearts bleed,
letting out the sorrow.
The dying are sorry for
this heaping hollow.
The place where the
Beloved holds your sorrow.
Mary Angela Nangini's poems celebrate the richness of life and love. From the city to cottage-country and the roads in between, Nangini explores the changing seasons of her varied region. (This book will soon be reprinted in hard cover.)
