Sometimes writing a short story takes up all your time and before you know it hours have passed and you haven't even eaten yet. You never know what could happen if you wrote a novel. It just might be deadly! I'm guessing you'll be guessing the ending, but getting to it is the best part! Let me know if I'm right (: (SO I CAN LIVE LONGER, THIS IS A SHORT STORY!)
Excerpt
Finally my appetite was back, I’d gained weight, and was able to sleep again. My last novel was almost the end of me. I realized I could no longer write as the consequences were too great.
I looked back on my writing with nostalgia, but it was a part of me I would have to let go. After ten years of writing novels it was time to lay down the pen and enjoy the fruits of my labor. My novels were extremely successful, and I had enough money to do just about anything I wanted. I looked forward to spending more time with my beautiful new wife.
“Ryan? Are you here?”
I smiled. I couldn’t believe my luck when I proposed and she accepted. It had been eighteen months of bliss for me.
“I’m in the library sweetheart.”
I could smell her before she came into the room. Her perfume was intoxicating. Maybe I could sweet talk her into a little afternoon delight.
“Hi honey,” her voice was low and sexy, and I felt my desire building.
“So what store did you buy out today?” I smiled, and stood up for a hug and kiss.
She laughed and turned her face; I ended up kissing her cheek. I squeezed her tightly.
“Sweetie, you’re wrinkling my blouse! The girls are coming over for a wine date, and I’ve got to get things ready.”
Well, there went the afternoon delight. I let her go and tried for another kiss, but she had already turned and click-clacked out of the room on her Gucci heels.

This is definitely a short story, and also makes you want to read more! I loved it. The author built tension in a subtle way and even though I had an idea about what would happen, I was still very intrigued. I can't wait to read the rest of this trilogy!
Great Story
I don't often read short stories, but I'm glad I made an exception in this case. This one was well written and entertaining. The build up was well-paced with just enough hints to entice the reader to continue through to the inevitable ending. This would also have made a great novel and the cover's amazing! Well done Bon Rose. A great story.
Very clever
firstly i have to say i love the short story. it is not as easy to do as just sticking together some kind of basic plot and dragging it out for ten pages.
this is the kind of short story i believe the author was very confident in writing. it shows too.
the story is very fluid, a page turner that you will have to finish all at once. the story has a kind of style to it. though it is short it has a flavor to it, no monotone moments, no fluff to make up the word count. it rolls along nicely and i have to say it was great.
