This title is the third and final tier of a trilogy. Volumn one is titled "Deadbeat Dad, Ignorant Pilgrims Versus Cinderella." is in rewrite and will be published this summer of 2012. The first published is volumn two, "In the Name of th e Father, Ignorant Pilgrim's Fight the Legal Kidnappingof a Son". There are good reasos for this order of presentation.
Frequently it is said that ours is a nation of law. Laws. A high sounding nostrum. Any semantical test would require a restatement. Ours is a national of legal vindettas aimed at the 50% or more Americans who have access to a mere 2.5% of the American Pie. In other words, the poor. The Law is punitive. Period. Nothing rehabilitaitve, correctional, theraputic--nothing positive whatsoever is going on here. No effort to bind up the wounds of our desperate who are imprisoned, jailed. Nothing to make them whole, viable, citizens, husbands, FATHERS. There are more men incarcerated in these United States per capita than anywhere else in the world. The vast magority of them are of color, black brown, red and yellow. Virtually all qualify as poor men. 97% of contested custody in the United States are awarded the mother. It is virtually automatic, a knee jerk, Babinski. Performed by lawyers in courtrooms as part of a judical system run by syncophants all having a same bar code. The institution of marriage in America has for some several generations been in serious shape, decline. The divorce rate is a burgeoning, 50-60%. What becomes of our children of divorce.? They are handed to , ripped from, amputed and given to their mothers and into a contaminated culture of confused roles and relationships. They are thus destined to grow to adulthood sans their Dads. Dad becomes the weekend weakend clowns. Daddybucks. He has no real function, role, authority save as revenue provider.The overseers of this pathological process are huge heinous institutions of social workers, the facsists of the post WWII age. These kids are our future. God help them. Us.
