Mandy is a troubled 17-year-old after having been abandoned by her aunt to the foster care system upon the death of her parents in a tragic accident when she was only five. Neglected and abused after being passed around 7 homes in 12 years, Mandy can't take anymore and runs away. Taken in by the housekeeper of the local parish priest, Mandy is finally offered unconditional love and care and, at first, she revels in the attention, but Mandy trusts no one. She keeps telling herself that things are different now, but she can't forget what she has been through. The better things get the harder time she has accepting that things really are different, but Mandy is a very good actress, having learned all the tricks over the last 12 years. No one really knows what is going on inside her head. When the people who care about her realize something isn't quite right about Mandy, is it too late?
