Rachel shivered, remembering the storm that had changed her life forever, the rage and fury of Gaia against humanity, taking the innocent along with the guilty, for the Goddess did not discriminate in her pain. She saw the faces of the innocents in the torrents of water that poured over the beach and heard the breaking of tree branches,so like the hull of a wooden boat cracking over rocks, tossed like flotsam and jetsam on the shore.
