Excerpt
When Leah arose, she had plenty of time to get ready for the trip. Brian picked her up and they headed to the airport. But there was very little conversation on the way there. Brian had plenty on his plate, as bank owners typically do, and Leah was of course preoccupied with how she looked, what she said, and so forth. She had never spent more than an hour alone with him and now they would be together for an entire weekend. Brian must have seen how nervous she looked and he laid his hand on her thigh, rubbing her softly in his warm, soothing way.
“What’s wrong, Leah?”
“If you want to know the truth, I’m kind of afraid.”
“Afraid of what? The trip? Don’t worry; you don’t even have to say anything to anybody. You can just be my arm candy.”
She smiled. “But Brian, what if I can’t bring you the kind of pleasure that you bring me? I would hate to imagine you getting shortchanged with someone like me when you can be having mind-blowing experiences with someone more…well…experienced, you know?”
“But Leah, the only way for me to feel pleasure is to know that you’re receiving it too. You’re doing everything right, don’t be so nervous. Everything will be fine.”
They arrived at the airport and printed their boarding passes, checked their bags, and headed to the gate. They sat at the gate and waited for first class to be called to preboard the aircraft. Leah thought in silence about how she had never even flown first class before. How was she supposed to put on an air of sophistication and elegance as “arm-candy” for a man who was from a completely different class or world even, from her?
