Excerpt
It takes 21 days to make or break a habit. Over the next 21 days, I'm going to lead you through a three-step process of awareness, alignment, and activation designed to gently shift your perspective, remove barriers, and help you find better balance in your mind, body, and spirit. At the end of the process, you will have established new habits that will help to keep you moving in the direction of a balanced life.
Throughout this book I will be associating the mind with thoughts, the body with feelings, and the spirit with intuition. These associations help to identify how you might experience your mind, body, and spirit in more tangible ways.
There are three chapters in the book, each focusing on one of the three steps of awareness, alignment, and activation. Each chapter leads you through seven days of the balance process. At the end of each chapter are exercises to help reinforce that stage of development.
Each of the 21 days has a theme. At the end of each theme are questions for a Balance Plan and an affirmation for the day. You might find it useful to journal about the questions, or simply mull them over during your day. They can also serve as a useful meditation focus; simply bring the question into your mind during your regular meditation practice and notice the thoughts that float up in response. Repeating the affirmations can help you internalize the lessons from each day. You might post them on your bathroom mirror or computer monitor. I know one person who posts each day's affirmation in the middle of her car's steering wheel so that she remembers it on the way to work and on her way home.

My Perfect Companion!
I received this book as a gift a few months ago and was instantly inspired from the very first page. Having an expansive library of self-help and inspirational readings at my disposal, I have options but this book is different from what's out there. It's not sensationalized - it's real, logical, heartfelt and authentic. I really love how it reads- it's 21 days focused on creating oneself and the chapters aren't filled with senseless stories and make believe worlds, this book is filled with tools. Tools you can instantly use to find balance. The reason this books resonated with me is the fact that when we have full body alignment, anything is possible. I also LOVE the exercises at the end of each chapter! I call this my perfect companion for a few reasons: it's the perfect size (fits in my jacket pocket), It reads beautifully in that the chapters are the ideal length and I feel like the author is speaking directly to me! Thanks for the great read, I can't wait to get my hands on the relationship book next!
