When my son was very young, I used to make up ‘Michael, the Texas Ranger’ stories nightly before he went to sleep.
A group of outlaws had robbed a bank and killed the branch manager. It was up to Michael, the Texas Ranger, to restore law and order.
Excerpt
One day Michael was sitting in his office when his sidekick Luis came running in with a telegram. It said that there was trouble brewing in west Texas. A group of outlaws had robbed the Santa Luchese bank and killed the branch manager. Michael stood up from his desk. He was a tall, over 6 feet in height, a slender man with a very menacing look. He always wore black. He had a black shirt with a special gold Texas Ranger star pinned over his heart, black cowboy boots, black buckskin leggings and his legendary black cowboy hat, that had several neat round bullet holes in it, memos of the bad evil men who had tried to kill Michael in the past. He strapped on his holster that held the twin pearl handled, hair-triggered. Colt 45’s. He got his 30-30 rifle off the gun rack and headed out the door.
