Von Wyck was the band Brooks formed during the summer of 1984, between his junior and senior year of high school. Several members have come and gone over the years, and sometimes accurate documentation of the band was difficult to do, so on the side, Brooks created a fictional Von Wyck to coincide with the real band, and even created fictional band members and albums. This was the best (and easiest) way Brooks could think of to help create and keep track of all the lyrics he wrote for Von Wyck over the years. So, in essence, all the names other than his are fictional, and any similarity to anyone living or dead is purely coincidental.
