If your computer is taking too long to load web pages or just recently started operating slowly it might be a virus causing the problem. So, what is a virus?
It is a program that can replicate itself to other programs. You could pick a virus up simply by downloading a program from somewhere else or by simply downloading a file from someone in an email you don’t know.
It is always a risk no matter what, but you can prevent many of these problems by using a virus protection program. The best one I’ve ever used is Norton and I swear by it.
A virus is a program that can replicate by attaching itself to other programs. The program that is infected must be executed for the virus to run. Viruses behave differently, some might do immediate damage to your computer while others might be programmed to do harm on a certain date in time.

Anti Virus software can’t detect viruses it doesn’t know to look for so always upgrade your anti virus software so it can try to detect new virus infestations.
Viruses are programmed to avoid detection by anti virus software in many ways. You need to protect your investment as much as possible by making back-ups regularly and using virus scan software.
