A thought-provoking exploration of the power of faith, Circles in Time follows one woman's journey through emotional hardship and spiritual discovery. Faith Lucas is a middle-aged wife and mother struggling to cope with her marriage to an abusive man. Her soul-searching leads her to discover that in several of her past lives, this same man who is now her husband has been present as a dangerous threat to her well being and safety, even ultimately being responsible for her death many times over. She takes this information and, coupled with her ability to speak with the angels, embarks on a strenuous and selfless path to attempt to help the help the man who has caused her so much pain.
Taylor evokes a powerful message of life, love and forgiveness in this inspiring novel, reminding us all that it is the choices we make that determine our spiritual contentment. The somber story she tells about a woman beaten down by abuse and neglect is both shockingly real and inspiring in its honesty. I feel as though every person who reads this novel will take something away from it, be it reassurance, insight, or even a stronger understanding of things in this world we cannot readily explain.

Faith takes you on her own spiritual journey so you get to cry and rejoice with her every step of the way. She has dreams and finds out that these are past lives in which she has lived. She meets Galadriel who is sort of like a mentor/seer throughout the story and is one of my favorite characters. I loved the simple flow of the story and how it made me think about choices I've made in my own life and how they have affected who I am as a person today. I believe that everyone will be able to relate to this story in some way. Well written and inspiring book.

I really enjoyed reading Circles in Time by Diane Adams Taylor. Circles in Time is a story about Faith, who is a school administrator, who is trapped in an unhappy marriage with Jake. Jake is verbally abusive and physically abusive towards Faith, his step-daughter Sarah, his family, friends and co-workers. Faith has a special gift where she can travel to the Other Side. When Faith travels to the Other Side she learns about many of her past lives, some of those have resulted in her death by the same man as her current husband. Once Jake is diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer, Faith hopes that Jake will ask for forgiveness and make amends to all the people he has hurt in the past and the present. Will Faith ever feel safe again? Will Jake change his ways? Will the past help Faith find the answers to her questions about her present life? Will the circle of abuse ever be broken?
Diane Adams Taylor writes a thought provoking novel that will have you searching for answers about your own spiritual journey. The author raises an effective message of life, love, and ultimate forgiveness in this inspirational novel that will remind everyone that our choices can make us question or accept our religious contentment. The novel was well written, easy to read, and a very inspirational novel about spousal abuse. I felt the pain that Faith went through and experienced the joy of knowing that she was protected by God.
