This is a personal creation that I opened up to family and friends who wanted to participate in my project. For years going through and testing recipes I came across (and from my Grandmother) I had always planned to compile a cookbook of my own.

Old Fashion Pound Cake
4 Cups (1-lb) box of Confectioners sugar; sifted
2 Cups (1-lb) butter; softened
2 Tbsp. grated orange peel and the juice of one orange
6 Eggs
3 ½ Cups of flour
¼ Tsp. of salt
***Options to add: 1 Tsp. baking powder and Vanilla flavor
Sift flour, cream butter at medium speed for 3 minutes. Gradually add sugar and peels. Cream thoroughly. Add eggs one at a time mixing after each. Alternate with dry ingredients. Pour into a tube pan. Bake on 350° for one hour. Remove from pan and cool.
