Brilliant addition to the series
I really, really liked the first two books in the Damnation Chronicals series, but this third book, The Gathering, had me wanting to stand on my chair fist pumping and yelling 'Oh Yes!' I've said it before: King & Koontz need to watch out. With each prior book Sweet has written, he has surpassed many books by well-known authors in the genre; with 'The Gathering' he surpasses them all. Yes. I said all. I expected a nice way to pass the time, continuing the adventures of Markus in his sci-fi-slash-horror loop. What I got was a can-not-put-it-down page turner. Outstanding.
Like I said, DO read the first two. Any 'huh' moments come clear here. Brilliant!
