Taken from a review on Amazon.ca: What a great story! It’s hard to find one that’s well written in the D&D genre, but Randall L. Scott has hit the nail on the head. The main character is a rarity - young, a Halfling and female. She carries the entire story and leaves the reader loving her! The descriptions in the book are my favourite part. In the style that it's written, you can follow her thought process. I read it in one sitting and was totally engrossed! As for the legend of the staff—what a great “ending”. It’s not really the ending, because the best part is there are two more books in this series!
An excellent read for any D&D fans, but also for anyone wanting a great story with amazing characterization. And for those wanting more, fear not, there is apparently more on the way!
