An investigative journalist uncovers a political conspiracy, recent horrific deaths during full moons, a true bayou legend, and a curse upon seven generations.

A woman discovers the task borne to her by her own legacy.

Everyone has their secrets, generations of secrets, families, friends, and foes.

An investigative journalist is harried by nightmares to solve the twenty-year-old slaughter of a senator and his young family in New Orleans. She uncovers a political conspiracy, recent horrific deaths during full moons, a true bayou legend, and a curse upon seven generations by a plantation slave in the Civil War. Compelled by a premonition, the reporter is driven to expose her key suspect, a reclusive Cajun in the bayous, before another tragic mauling occurs during the impending ill-fated blue moon.

Excerpt

Her breath sucks in from a wave of spirit desperation sweeping through her from this death-drenched land that is ripe with the pain and penetrating cries of souls who have not moved on, who are lost between this world and the next. She can almost see their haggard, despairing figures reliving their lives as if they have never left here.

....

She treks deep into the shadows and recesses known only to the locals, along the Cajun coast to the tip of Lafourche Parish, the most Cajun place on earth. A dread crawls through her as she enters this land that is saturated with suffering . . . and with something more, something she can’t quite discern.
