Following the success of Toby's Tails, Susan second book, which is based on real events on her farm, is a charming tale looking at life from the perspective of two goats, Billy and Daisy. It follows their lives from when they leave their home as babies to live with the other animals on the farm, until they become the proud parents of their own baby.

Toby the kindly and clever Border Collie is always close at hand to reassure them and explain things, and they make friends with Rosie and Rambo the sheep, as well as the resident family of chickens. After their big adventure, Billy and Daisy realise just how lucky they are to live on the farm.

Susan writes with so much love for her animals, and her stories are certain to entertain, enchant and educate young readers in the 3 to 10 age group.

A fun story from the animal's point of view.
As I father of a five year old who jumps at the chance to play with farm animals, this is a good read. Imaginative, and what makes it so is the point of view. While so many kid's books are told from the view of the farmer, this one is from the Billy Goats. My daughter loved the story and the real life photos that accompany this "Babe-like" adventure, giggling as I turned each page.

Billy and Daisy the goat kids are picked by the author Susan, and her husband, to come and live at Fantasy Farm.
There they meet some of the other inhabitants, two sheep called Rosie and Rambo, and Bubbles the hen, star of The Chicken Patrol (Fantasy Farm Tales Book 2).
Well, despite what people think, life for the animals is never dull. Rambo and Rosie have to be shorn, and we soon discover what characters sheep really are.
Hens can be defiant in their own way too, and Bubbles decides she doesn’t want to nest in the chicken shed, but where will she have her chicks?
As the seasons go by, the goat kids grow into adults, they have many new experiences, including feeling snow for the first time. The world around them is changing, but so are they…
