Love this book!
This is a refreshing story to read to your young one. It's about Toby, a beautiful border collie who live on a small farm in France and what is happening in the daily live of his "parents" Susan and Michael. This is my favorite so far in the series because it relates the story to what is going down in the chicken pen, where a mighty fox has invaded the territories. The hen are worried, a chick has disappear. But be certain that Toby is one case and will help his friends hens and rooster to solve the mystery. The grandkids loved it and it different from most stories with superheroes or princesses we usually read. I look forward to more of Toby's adventures. The book is well presented with real picture of toby and the hens that makes so much interesting for the little ones. Highly recommended for bedtime stories.

A wonderful book.
Another delightful book in the Toby Tails series. This time Susan Keefe takes us into the world of chickens and their chicks.

I admit that after having had a little Bantam Cock for a pet when I was a small child, I've not thought of chickens as anything but a Sunday lunch since. However, now after the Chicken Patrol I will never again dig into a chicken with total glee again. Now I know they have feelings too!

If you are a parent or a grandparent do know that with this series you have a perfect gift for the Christmas stockings. Children will love reading about Toby and his friends. And I assure you that before you wrap up the stocking, you too will love reading about them.

A wonderful children's story.
Everyone knows that it is great seeing chickens live free range, however, they do have predators. This delightful little story tells the tale of a naughty chick who disobeys her mum, wanders off, then disappears.
Will Toby the Border Collie manage to find the chick?
Or, has she been taken by Mr. Fox?
Children will enjoy this delightful little book which contains many full colour photos of real chickens, and parents will love the way that hidden within the story is a little moral for the children…
