THE FARMER'S HOPE
Early each new morning
as the sun peeps up its head
is the rested, hopeful farmer
as he rises from his bed.
WHEN GOD BECAME A BABY
In my ear a lonely siren sounds
a steady, single note;
a dream more lovely than
one ever seen or wrote...
AS THIS WORLD WINDS DOWN
All the world winds down at night
and dreams? They come with sleep,
as every mortal slumbers on,
some above, some deep.
