Miss. Shalia believed her daughter, she stated as she was furiously exiting the room, she looked down to the floor and there was a spoon. She picked it up and it had traces of heroin in it that was proof that Nicole was telling the truth. That Marshell had been in that room. Unfortunately, Nicole changed her story several days later saying she had a dream. She was only four years old, not quite five,how the hell could she have dreamt about someone sexually battering her, unless it actually happened? This was not a trumped up story, Marshell and Miss. Shalia were getting along pretty good, and Miss. Shalia just is not the type of woman to falsely accuse ANYONE of such a horrible crime. The social worker it was reported to eventually went to work for the courts. During the same period, all court records about the incident with Nicole being sexually battered by Marshell, "lewd act with a minor" and the abuse Daron and Manisha suffered were missing out of the court files. In-fact the Judge stated that all records dating back to 1989 were missing out of the court case file. If they cared why couldn't they obtain records about the complaint from DCFS again? A court report from 1999 was re-issued just recently to Miss. Shalia in-order for it to be printed in this book. A ward of the court? What type of excuse was that? They should have put their foot down, a system that is suppose to protect our children, have failed a lot of them.
