There is a strange and uncertain wind blowing through the lush green valleys of Archomai. The wind has an evil chill to it as it advances before the dark shadow that mass over the once beautiful mountains. Their peaks rise up and pierce the horizon in the shadowed east. Even the giant, majestic oak trees, sentinels of the great forests, seem to bow before this dark presence. The villages and the shires themselves are subdued with anxiety and fear. They once were happy places with much laughter and good, prosperous times. But many have been invaded by evil men, and the laughter has turned to weeping. Good times have become a faint memory as armies clash. This wind also brings a chill to the hearts of brave men and anguish to the heart of the king. The wind’s wailing brings the sound of war. I am old, but I must stand with the king—and I must fight.

Well now I read this a while ago but forgot to put my review up in Amazon-so here it is. If you have ever had or have a disability, no matter what it is, or you know someone who has a disability I HIGHLY recommend that you get this book. I have C.R.P.S. (Complex Regional Pain Syndrome) in my left leg and since the accident at age of 47 I can no longer run or even walk without the aid of crutches. I tell you this so you may understand that I do know what it is to live with and without a disability. The C.R.P.S. has completely changed my life, but books like this written by a wonderful author, T. A. Cline, give me an opportunity to, not only see that my disability is minor compared to what Jeremiah, the main character, has to live with, but gave me the chance to escape my daily life to run free in the land of imagination. This book gives those of us who are hampered by a disability, be it mental or physical, a chance to escape from our bonds and fly like eagles. This is a wonderful book and will lift the spirits of anyone who reads it. It is worth more than any amount of money that you pay for this book; it will become a favorite book of yours and you will want to share it with everyone you know. I truly recommend that everyone purchase this book, not just read it. I was sent the eBook by T. A. Cline and I loved it sooooo much that I knew I would have to purchase a copy of my own so I could share it with my family and friends. Through the generosity of the author I was sent a hard copy of this book and I can't thank the author enough. Please do yourself a favor and read this book. Go out right now and get yourself a copy, you will not regret it and like me you will be hanging on the edge of your seat waiting for another one from T. A. Cline. This book is an easy read for even someone young. I guarantee you will both be lifted up into this wonderful fantasy and regret that there is an end to this book. I have it on good authority that there are more books in the works to supplement this one! I wonder if Jeremiah will find a love interest in his life?!? That is the only tid bit I will give for this book because I want everyone to experience this book without giving away any of the wonderful secrets inside!

Everyday we pass by people on the street, never bothering to make eye contact because something in their physical appearance makes us uncomfortable. But what is inside of that person? Archomai gives us one possibility.
An adventure story that takes place in a fantastical land. It is very simply told with a surprising protagonist, a kingdom to save and a chance for redemption.
This was such an enjoyable read, not just for the page turning adventure, but also for the allegory as characters deal with temptations and self awareness.
Parents may consider this a good choice for children but will want to read it first because it contains war scenes and has a passage with a horse dying. Otherwise, it's a great story, empowering to both males and females.
Because of the moral standard, female empowerment and story, I give it four stars.
I recommend this book for anyone who needs to see good triumph over evil.
