Aaron Westchester is a superlative archaeologist and a practical man but Aaron also has a troubled past. His wife died and so did his daughter and the only significant person in his life that remains is his best friend Eric. Eric has always looked after his friend but he also has a secret agenda. Eric convinced Aaron into traveling to Russia, and he claims that the travel is merely to mitigate Aaron's depression. He told Aaron that to become better he must first take a break from work and spend time healing in a place that bears no resemblance to his current surroundings. But secretly Eric wishes to travel to Russia to make a profit. One seeks to extricate himself from negative thoughts and the other seeks to become both famous and rich but not one of them could have foreseen the horror that lies ahead.
