Everyone seems to be friendly,
especially on Christmas day.
Families and friends get together;
smiles and hugs happen everywhere.
Relatives you never talk to,
come and visit with goodwill to share.
Even our old neighbor,
grouchy Mr. Brown,
smiles at me on Christmas
(and he nearly always frowns).

What makes people seem to change?
Is it the cold, wet weather,
that makes them all act strange?
