Excerpt
I let out a sigh while I was admiring his assets and he turned to me and smiled. “Like what you see Princess,” he asked with a knowing grin. You and me, we could get into a whole lot of trouble together,” he said slyly.
“John, I don’t want to get into all of that. I’m happy with Mike,” I responded, not sure who I was trying to convince.
“Sure you are, sweetheart. You just keep telling yourself that,” he laughed as he brushed my chestnut hair back from my face. He was close enough to me to kiss me and I was getting nervous. Any second now my husband would walk out the door, and yet I couldn’t back away.
“Casey, I could ravish your body in so many ways that you can’t even imagine,” he said in a deep, low voice. I bit my bottom lip as I felt his hot, warm breath against my face.
Just then Mike came running out the door carrying on about being late if we didn’t hurry up and leave. John and I backed away from each other, but it really didn’t matter. Mike was always so wrapped up in everything else, he didn’t seem to notice how close we were standing when he first walked out.
I felt intrigued by John’s invitation, but I knew I’d never take him up on it. I loved my husband and took my vows seriously. Despite my husband’s shortcomings, I loved him dearly and would never do anything to hurt him.
The day I married him, I made up my mind that I would do everything I could to please him from that day forward.
I was about to jump in the backseat when I realized there was no room with all of their baseball gear piled in there.
“Just ride on John’s lap,” Mike suggested.
John slapped his knee, smiled and said, “Jump on.”
My eyes widened. “What if you get pulled over or we get in an accident,” I protested. I knew it was a bad idea in more ways than one.
“For God’s sake, Casey, it’ll be fine. Now just get in the car.”
