I think some authors deserve to be better known. Indeed, BLACKWOOD CROSSING, written by M.K. McClintock, is a little gem to discover. This is a captivating story of espionage set in Scotland and England. I didn't know this author and her books and decided to read his first novel, ALAINA CLAIBORNE! OMG, I fell in love with her writing style and her lovable personages. I liked everything about Blackwood Crossing; it’s a romantic adventure, great storyline, great characters, intrigue and mystery that kept me captivated until the end. It’s her second book in her British Agent series. This time, it is Charles’s story; we meet again, Tristan, Alaina, Devon. Charles Blackwood is an expert in the art of espionage and always served his country with honor; until he met the headstrong and independent Scottish lass Rhona. At the time of their relationship, two years ago, he decided to choose the agency instead of her. They meet again, as he is asked to protect her during her voyage to her future husband. But, after twists and turns, their true feeling for each other, will be evident. Will they find the murderer? Who will betray Rhona? Will they uncover the truth about her parents? Ms. McClintock really knows how to trap you into her story, by sharing small mysterious clues that builds up, keeping you interested till the end. This author is also a very descriptive writer; I could almost feel the surroundings. I strongly recommend this well written historical suspense!
