Another steamy Night Calls book,
This is the third book in the Night Calls series. I love this series. This book is about Jon and Pattie. Jon is a hot good looking playboy who goes from to woman he meets Patti and he feels things that he has felt in a long time. But there something Jon is holding back, will this come between them. This book is sexy, hot steamy. In fact this entire series is steamy.

I loved this book. I received a copy from the author for an honest review. I have not (at the time of this review) read the first two books in this series.
The main characters, Jon and Patti, have "baggage" from their pasts that continue to haunt them as they try to run from their troubles. Well, that's all about to change. They're going to have to face their past if they want to continue to move on with each other.
The story starts right out with Patti finding her boyfriend(Kyle)in their bed with another woman. There are some pretty funny references to his cheating and anatomy here that had me cracking up.
Jon has a secret in his past that prevents him from accepting happiness in his life, so he copes by one-night stands and keeps himself from committed relationships. Until he meets Patti. There's just something about her.
Things get steamy and Jon soon realizes how much happiness Patti has brought to his life. Then a secret from Jon's past is revealed and he doesn't think Patti could accept him for who he is now. He is no longer the young and reckless man he was in his youth, but he pushes away because his guilt continues to haunt and punish him.
The relationship of Jon and his family is especially sweet. I loved them.
Great character development in this story and I was rooting for them to work things out. They do in the end, of course, but getting there was challenging.
Lots of humor as well as tearful emotion felt throughout. I found myself close to tears at several points and really felt a connection to these two.
I hope you'll enjoy this book as much as I did.

Jon is such a man whore doing what he wants when he wants with girls and getting away with it because they want a piece of him any way they can get it. He is living his life like a bachelor who does not care about anything except liquor and women. He is at the bar getting ready to have drinks when he sees Patti and is intrigued by her. He wants to get to know her and he starts to talk to her forgetting about the two girls he has waiting for him. But soon his wanting to get to know Patti is interrupted by the two girls he brought to the bar and he sees the look of disgust on Patti's face and he can't seem to comprehend it. He wants to go to her but she looks at him with a stern look and he halts in his tracks because he knows that look so well.
As time passes Jon can't get Patti out of his mind and he wants her. He is not sure why but he does and he is determined to get her. As Patti thinks back to the gorgeous guy at the bar she is curious about him but she does not want to get hurt again so she guards her heart with everything she has. Can these two overcome their hurts to let each other in or will Patti keep Jon far away from her heart? This is such a must read story that had me laughing and crying and rooting for this couple because they clearly love each other but the past has a funny way of ruining the future. Will Jon's past ruin the future........
