Once again J.C. Valentine has a sure fire hit on her hands. Knockout offers so many things to the reader. As with her other books we are treated to a story that encompasses so much. A story of friendship, trust, feat, destruction, love, conflict and the yearning desire of a peaceful existence.
With brilliant character development you will find yourself melting into each and every characters thoughts and emotions.
One of the many things I love about this author is that every character holds their own story and the stories are woven together effortlessly.
I would be impossible not to fall hard and fast for Jamie with his tempting good looks, his powerful body, his dark and brooding past and intense desire to be his ultimate best. He is the perfect sinfully sexy alpha male.
Alyson is a woman with a scarred and battered past. Despite her past she sparkles like the sunshine dancing upon waves in the ocean. A strong and determined woman the depths of her willingness to give and correct the wrong in people’s lives is never ending.
This story is a delightful mixture of what happens when your past clashes into your present. Touching on so many issues this story offers something for everyone. A slow sensual, enticing and downright sinfully sexy love story. A story of hurt and betrayal and what it takes to rise above the old demons that haunt you fighting to invade the present. Jami and Ally were childhood friends from very abusive families. Circumstances tore them apart and they were brought back together by a twist of fate. This is a great story about lost love, loneliness and finding your way in life.
Ally is talked into attending a fight with her best friend Olivia even though she hates them. In the ring on this fateful night is none other than her childhood friend, protector and the one person she has always loved.
The story is told in such a way that you feel all the emotions that are going on throughout. I was thrown into the lives of Jami and Ally and couldn't stop reading, The fight scenes were amazing. I recommend this book to all and can't wait for the next book!! Great job J. C. Valentine!!
