Who doesn’t love a horse story? This book has us pulling for our heroine, Anna. She is such a hard worker and deserves to be co-manager of the ranch. I love that Jeremy ends up being her champion and the man she needs in her life. Kelly Dawson does a great job of telling a story about all of the involved characters!

This is a sweet DD story of a two people who have grown up together with a common love of horses at the Bracken Ridge Equine Center, the Fletcher family business. Jeremy McCrae came to work for the Fletcher family and he and Anna Fletcher have been best friends. She goes off to college and not finding a job in Child Physiology returns home to Bracken Ridge, shocked to find Jeremy is still there and the manager. The dialogue between these two is entertaining and since Jeremy can't fire her, when she gets snarky and out of line, he spanks her. Their relationship from friendship to love is obvious to those around them, but neither one admits feelings for fear of rejection. This story is sweet with no sex, only spankings, and a HEA ending.

This is a fun romance set on a Horse Riding Stables in New Zealand. In fact this might actually be the first Kiwi spanky romance that I've read.
The heroine, Anna, has just returned from university and having failed to find anything to suit her child psychology degree has decided to work at her father's stables instead. Her immediate manager is 'ruggedly handsome' Jeremy McCrae, a friend Ann has known since childhood.
It's pretty obvious how things are going to pan out for our two heroes, given that on the very first page Jeremy gives Anna a playful thwack on her behind with a riding crop in response to her swearing. He is so very my kind of guy!
It's fun watching Anna and Jeremy interact with one another - and with the other staff at Bracken Ridge. There's a bit of a power struggle going on, as Anna, as the boss's daughter, resists Jeremy's authority as her line manager. Luckily Jeremy knows just how to handle that. Spankings ensue. Hurrah!
There was enough non-romance horsey action to keep the story moving along at an interesting place and I found it a very satisfying story.
