Navigating Your Seasons of Change takes us on a journey of self awareness that will help us better understand the season we are in and how to effectively navigate our way through it.
Navigating Your Seasons of Change takes us on a journey of self awareness that will help us better understand the season we are in and how to effectively navigate our way through it. Donald Graham shares with the reader the benefits of patiently enduring their season and how impatience can frustrate the grace of God in their lives. He provides insight into the many challenges that the Christian believer will face during their “faith walk” and uses his compelling testimony as a point of reference. Donald stresses the important of discerning the season we are in, listening attentively for the message that God desires to convey to us, and obeying the specific instructions for what lies ahead once the season is over.

INTRODUCTION
As I started out on my journey of writing this book, I knew that it was important to find out exactly who my audience was and what specific message I wanted to convey to them. I also had to consider how the contents of this literary work might impact my parents, my children and the rest of my family. I had to respect the fact that not everyone would want their personal lives subject to the court of public opinion as a result of what I wrote. There was actually a six month period where I shelved the idea of writing this book. At that time I felt that no one would be interested in hearing about how to navigate the different seasons of their life, and therefore, my story was not worth sharing. Also, I wasn’t altogether sure if I was even ready to share the blemished, tarnished and broken areas of my life with the world and subject myself to the opinions of people who might judge me as a result of what they just read about me.
That is when God began sending people my way who were struggling to navigate through similar seasons in their life and they ended up turning to me for help. I saw how a lot of their mistakes had mirrored my own and how hearing my story could help them avoid some of the pitfalls that I suffered. After many months of seeking Gods face and conferring with my wife and family, I felt compelled to share excerpts of my personal story and insights that I believe will help people navigate the often tumultuous and uncertain seasonal changes in their life. I decided not to let fear of the unknown keep me from speaking life to men and women who were resigned to living in dead situations. I remembered the apostle Paul’s declaration in 2 Timothy 1:7, “For God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” I realized in that moment the importance of sharing my testimony and how it could be an incredibly strong witness for people who are experiencing difficulty navigating their own seasons of change.
I too can identify with the people who live bound to the mistakes of their past, which causes them to struggle with dealing with the season that they are presently in. That was me not too
long ago. If you believe this is your story, then I encourage you to read this book in its entirety. As you read you will come to understand that God is able to take your personal experiences, pain and sufferings, triumphs and tragedies, and use them as the catalyst that elevates you to the next level in your life. This book encompasses seven of the most common seasons that you will find yourself in at one time or another during your Christian walk.
Each season is made up of three chapters that deal with everything from seasons of warfare to seasons of peace, from seasons of lack to seasons of new beginnings, you will find that your particular season fits somewhere in between these pages. If I could offer any advice, it would be not to rush through this book. Take your time to read and reflect on where you are and what God is saying to you. Besides, as it is with the natural seasons we are subjected to, so it is with the spiritual ones...they take time to pass. Just trust and believe that God is able to help you navigate your way through each of them, and you will be just fine. As you embark upon this journey of navigating the seasons of change in your life, you will realize that in spite of what you have been through, in spite of your present circumstances, you can overcome your past and live the victorious life that God has called you to live through His son Jesus Christ. No matter what your story is I encourage you to know that God has you covered and you are indeed more than a conqueror.
After reading this book you will realize that God’s grace is still sufficient for you and you don’t have to remain stuck in that dry place called sin. You will realize that there is a redemptive work that God wants to do in your life, if you would only surrender yourself to Him. The fact that you are even reading this book implies that you recognize where you are in your season, but more importantly, it signifies that you are determined to take the bold and necessary steps to get up from where you are. You are well on your way to successfully navigating your seasons of change!
