“What happened between you anyway?” Her soft voice broke the fire’s crackling and the rain beating against the windowpanes. “Your lights were…off.”
“We’ve had our…issues.” Prince Caldwell took a deep breath. “I was a fool and got mad at him for telling me how much of one I’d been—”
“We were both angry.” Chris shrugged. “Don’t blame yourself alone.”
“No, you tried to stop me. I just didn’t want to listen.”
“So we had kind of a fight—”
“That must’ve ended with sex,” Ylianor was quick to jump ahead.
“She really knows us too well, doesn’t she?” The blue-gray eyes trapped Duncan’s gaze.
“I guess she does.” The prince chuckled, then swung to Ylianor again. “But then you returned—”
“Yeah, and we still have to figure out if it was the anger, the sex or…” He smiled his most enchanting and heartbreaking smile that lit his face and went straight down to Duncan’s stomach. “Love that brought you back.” Oh, yes, and to his cock, too.

As for the pain…” He sighed. “I have trouble accepting the fact you relish giving it to those willing to play your game.”
“Just one for now.” A rueful smile crossing his lips, Chris winked at Ylianor before returning to focus on the prince.
“One or a hundred doesn’t make a difference.” Duncan’s heart was as heavy as stone. “I see it as non-conventional behavior, so prefer to ignore it, even if it’s an important part of you, and—”
“Hush, lover.” Impulsively, Chris threw his arms around him, then kissed him hard on the mouth. “I’m not particularly proud of that part of me, but it’s my problem. In your way, you approve it, otherwise you’d have never let me go with Robbie, knowing full well what I’d do to him.” Another kiss, this time on the neck, the angel buried his face in the long hair, lingering for a moment before his warm breath reached the prince’s ear. “I love you for trying to accept it in spite of your beliefs.” Pulling back, he brushed Duncan’s face. “These two days, I thought how bad I’ve been. I wanted to force you to acknowledge that part of me, not caring about how you felt about it.” Chris lowered his head in shame. “I don’t want to hang our love on something like this.” Sitting cross-legged on the carpet, the blue-gray eyes stared at him intently. “The gods know I have it bad enough as it is with a pledge turned farce.”
With the corner of an eye, Duncan caught Ylianor inching away, if to flee or to shift positions he would never know.
