This is an excellent read. I would like to thank the author Jason Zandri for such outstanding creation. The story is based on Mark Sanford and his son Matthew. They have to start their lives again, essentially form the very beginning, because Mathew’s mother just left them. As the story goes on, the reader watched the rebuilding of their lives in the father's old hometown and all the complications that come with starting over. I love the way the author presents those things and I am sure if you're interested in this genre you will be as well.
I read the author's social media site and it appears that the story continues into another book. I am looking forward to that release to see where Matthew the gang from Wallingford go, as the next book more closely follows the son Matthew.
I really enjoyed reading this book. The author tells a great tale while incorporating the themes of family, doing the right thing and being there for the people you love. Some parts of the book were sweet and reminiscent of the stories told from small town life. Other parts of the book were intensely dramatic with dark, realistic issues of life in general. Combined, As Life Goes, was a well-balanced book that made me consider the differences in today's world compared to life in the 70's and 80's.
There was a good romantic storyline that readers of contemporary romance will enjoy. Overall, I would recommend this book to a wide audience. I feel like novel has a little something for everyone.
This book was wonderful to read. The story centers around a father and a son making a fresh start in the town the father grew up in. The son Matthew is eager to show his father, Mark that he's mature and responsible. The writing is fantastic and the author created great characters that the reader can really sympathize with. This book gives a stark glimpse into domestic violence and the subject is handled exceedingly well by the author. Very well written.
